What trends will shape Procurement and Supply Chain in 2026?

In 2026, three trends will determine whether Procurement protects EBITDA… or erodes it. The differentiator won’t be “having more data,” but turning it into decisions and ROI.

Volatility is now structural: trade rules, climate, and logistics capacity keep shifting the playing field. The 2026 agenda moves from “resilience” to measurable value: total cost, continuity, and risk in the P&L. (WEF, 2026)

Checklist

·      Prioritize categories by EBITDA impact, not historical spend volume

·      Implement supplier risk intelligence in onboarding and quarterly reviews

·      Standardize should-cost (expected cost build-up) within RFQs

·      Require supplier KPIs tied to cash, uptime, and lead time

If an initiative doesn’t impact the cost, continuity, or risk, it’s “activity”, not strategy.
